I pray to Saint Anthony
We share a common pursuit for love, and we all deserve love to search for us. I’ve see the evil faces of this world, but they are not evil. They have lost something they never knew existed. I pray she looks for me, finds me, finds this world as she left it.
I’ve seen her face before, but it changes often. Her name is different every time. I’ve loved her every time. I’ve sat with her on swing-sets in Fort Myers. I’ve washed her back in a candle-lit bathroom. I believe she is real. I know she exists, and when I’m with her, God is with us.
I hold onto what I believe to be true the same as everybody else. I believe in her. I act absurd because she drives me crazy. I’m insane, like everybody else. Chasing what I can’t find. The edge does not exist, so we cannot fall. I cannot lose what is infinite.
What will she become? I never expect her, and she surprises me every time. I hear songs about her, but she is mine, and I know the world wants her just as much as I do.
Goodnight Saint Anthony. Wherever you are, I hope you don’t give up. I hope you search for everything that everyone has lost in this world, and give it back to them.
