Banjo Lesson
A man with his son on his knee
Thinks about the boy’s life
As he teaches from his own.
Through the old pots and pans
Dented and rusty,
The twang of a banjo can be heard by anyone.
The small, delicate fingers of the boy are guided
When the man’s tired hands
Play a familiar tune,
The child tries for himself.
Outside, It gets brighter.
