Jacqueline Fifolt

Tick tock, the croc is on her way.

I think today I’ll let her win.

The sea was my calling of happiness,

But now it is where my crew abandoned me

And took the Jolly Roger;

Where Peter Pan left me.

I was once an educated man.

I went to college in England.

Now I’m a black-hearted man

Who tries to put on airs so I can

Pretend I’m a gentleman

Of good taste and style

With my crimson hat and lavender feather.

I’ll use that feather as my kindle.

Burn my captain’s hat.

No one will care or know where I go,

but I know and I care.

I think I’ll be happier here,

At the bottom of the mermaid lagoon.
